Where your donations go

Since its creation in 2004, the objectives of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Foundation have been to promote and sustain educational, cultural, recreational, artistic and athletic programs. To this end, the Foundation has distributed to all the schools and centres under the jurisdiction of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board:

  • 40 multimedia projectors (2006)
  • 40 interactive white boards(2007)
  • Contributed $50,000 towards the safety and security initiative of the school board (2008)
  • Distributed more than 100 citizenship bursaries to graduating students in the youth and adult sectors (annually since 2008)
  • Donated $50,000 towards the state of the art career exploration laboratory at CDC Pont-Viau (2009)
  • Contributed $40,000 towards 19 projects that will benefit students in schools and centres. (2010)
  • Donated $24,000 for the Arundel Nature and Science Centre (2010)

Over the past 5 years, the Foundation has invested more than $340,000 in our schools and centres.
